These two high-demand OKC restaurants made OpenTable's Top 100 Brunch Restaurants list

Every year for Mother's Day, OpenTable releases it's list of the nation's top brunch restaurants and while Oklahoma missed making the list in 2023, the city makes a return with two places in the Top 100 for 2024.

Cheever's, 2409 N Hudson Ave., which returns to the list after making an appearance in 2022 and FRIDA Southwest, 500 Paseo, were both named to OpenTable's Top 100 Brunch Restaurants list.

You might also remember that Oklahoma City's Cafe Kacao, 3325 N Classen Blvd., claimed the No.1 spot on Yelp's Top 100 Brunch Spots for Mother's Day last year, with Neighborhood Jam, 4830 E 61 Street, Ste 300 in Tulsa, El Huevo Mexi-Diner, 3522 24 Ave. NW in Norman, and The Jones Assembly, 901 W Sheridan Ave., all making the list, as well.

And while OpenTable does not currently list any availability for Cheever's or FRIDA for Sunday, there are still reservations available at The Jones Assembly, and you can always wake up early Sunday and join the wait list for Neighborhood Jam locations or Cafe Kacao.

And, having both OKC restaurants on the OpenTable list be part of local restaurant groups with so many options means that while dining at those choices for Mother's Day may be tricky due to lack of availability, you may still be able to visit one of their sister properties for a great meal.

Cheever's remains crown jewel of A Good Egg Dining Group

Cheever's is the restaurant that started a journey into restaurant ownership for Heather and Keith Paul, who purchased the building in 2000. Now 24 years later, the restaurant continues to be a beacon to those visiting Oklahoma City's Uptown 23rd District and a cornerstone of the brand that now boasts recognizable names including Iron Star Urban Barbecue, Red PrimeSteak, Republic Gastropub, Tucker's Onion Burgers, Kitchen No. 324, The Drake, Barrios Fine Mexican Dishes and the soon-to-be-relocated Mexican Radio.

FRIDA Southwest among HumanKind Hospitality's growing concepts

Alongside FRIDA Southwest, the folks at HumanKind Hospitality have a number of other options for dining that may still have availability or will operate on a waitlist for Mother's Day. Perhaps you can treat mom to pizza at Sauced on Paseo, or head to OSO on Paseo,Flamingo Tiki, Picasso Cafe or The Other Room. Some of the HumanKind locations are 21 and up only, so be sure to check online before heading out.
