Two Bath natives killed in one-vehicle rollover crash in Yates County

Two people are dead following a one-vehicle rollover crash on Saturday in Yates County, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the driver Steven E. Wolfe, of Bath, and the passenger in the vehicle, Deborah D. Wolfe, 65, also of Bath, were killed in the crash at the intersection of Friend Road and West Sherman Hollow Road in the town of Jerusalem. The crash occurred about 6:15 p.m.

According to police, Steven Wolfe, 69, was traveling southeast on Friend Road when he failed to negotiate a curve near Italy Friend Road. The vehicle rolled several times before coming to a stop in the ditch on the south side of Friend Road.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
