South Carolina’s 2024 offensive line class just got even bigger.

Three-star offensive tackle Mike Williams announced his commitment to South Carolina via Twitter on Wednesday. Williams chose USC over reported offers from Miami, Southern Cal, Michigan State, Tennessee, West Virginia and Florida.

He’s rated the No. 1,141 player and No. 91 offensive tackle in the 2024 class, per the 247Sports Composite.

A high school teammate of four-star 2023 Gamecocks signee Desmond Umeozulu, Williams looks the part of a future high-major offensive tackle at 6-foot-7, 315 pounds. The Maryland native helped CH Flowers to a 13-1 record and an appearance in the state title game.

Williams was in Columbia this past weekend for the Garnet and Black spring game.

South Carolina is quickly compiling one of the more impressive offensive line classes in recent memory. Williams is the fourth 2024 lineman to commit to the Gamecocks along with top 75 tackles Kam Pringle and Josiah Thompson and three-star Greenville tackle Blake Franks.

Williams also is another steal for USC out of the D.C.-Maryland-Viriginia area over the last two-plus classes. Most recently, South Carolina landed commitments from five-star athlete Nyckoles Harbor (Washington, D.C.), three-star defensive back Zhabari Sandy (Washington, D.C.), four-star offensive tackle Oluwatosin “Tree” Babalade (Maryland) and Umeozulu out of the area in the 2023 class.

The Gamecocks landed two commitments on Wednesday in Williams and four-star West Florence safety Kelvin Hunter. Hunter announced his pledge minutes before Williams.
