TWD: The Ones Who Live Premiere Date Set — Plus, Rick and Michonne’s ‘Crazy Love’ Reignites in Sneak Peek
Star-crossed Walking Dead lovers Rick and Michonne took one big step closer to their long-awaited reunion with the sneak peek of limited series The Ones Who Live that AMC snuck into Sunday’s Fear the Walking Dead finale: At the tail end of the clip, the spinoff’s Sunday, Feb. 25, premiere date was revealed.

Along with glimpses of Judith and RJ’s parents in action, the video also included a promise from franchise OG Andrew Lincoln that the offshoot would provide “answers.” Added leading lady Danai Gurira, “These two people are so powerful, and together, it’s insane. This is some crazy love.”
You’ll likely recall that when Lincoln made his last appearance on the mothership back in 2018, AMC said that his embattled character’s story would be continuing in a series of movies. Four years later, AMC disclosed a change of plans: The movies wouldn’t be movies anymore but a six-episode series that would also star Gurira.
During the network’s New York Comic-Con panel for Daryl Dixon in October, it was announced that Pollyanna McIntosh, who played Jadis on not only The Walking Dead but World Beyond, would be reprising her role on The Ones Who Live, and Lost vet Terry O’Quinn would be playing Beale. They join a cast that we already knew includes Lucifer’s Lesley-Ann Brandt as Pearl.
Per the official logline for The Ones Who Live, “the series presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… and ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive — or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?”
