Great American Family is shaking things up by starting their Great American Christmas a week earlier than announced which not only surprised viewers but other networks too.
The network's Great American Christmas lineup launched on Oct. 13 with an entire day filled with Christmas movies leading into the premiere of Destined 2: Christmas Once More on Saturday, Oct. 14.
Their latest Christmas movie premiere, 'Twas the Text Before Christmas stars fan favorites Trevor Donovan and Merritt Patterson as two strangers who meet up after a text is sent to the wrong number. Here's everything we know about the film including a Parade.com exclusive sneak peek!
What is 'Twas the Text Before Christmas about?
Addie (Patterson), a New York City chiropractor mistakenly receives a text from “Nana.” The accidental text turns into a loving friendship between the matronly Nana (Jayne Eastwood) and Addie who now communicate regularly.
Nana invites Addie to spend the holiday with her family in Vermont. It is picture-postcard perfect and exactly as Nana described except for one surprise: Nana’s single son, James (Donovan), a traveling doctor who is also home for the holidays.
Over three consecutive years, James and Addie are together during the holidays, though it isn’t until they are both single that they begin to see each other in a different light. Will a surprise proposal show the two their happily ever after?

Merritt Patterson (Addie)
Patterson most recently starred in the entertaining and instant fan favorite film, One Perfect Match opposite Joshua Sasse on Great American Family. She previously starred in The Christmas Cottage, The Royals, and last year's Catering Christmas opposite Daniel Lissing.

Trevor Donovan (James)
Donovan most recently starred in A Harvest Homecoming for Great American Family in which he wrote and performed an original song, "Fields of Gold". He has previously appeared in The Engagement Plot, Aloha with Love, and USS Christmas.
Fun fact: This isn't the first time Donovan and Patterson have starred together in a film. They previously appeared together in Jingle Bell Princess for Great American Family.

Jayne Eastwood (Nana/Maybel)
Eastwood may seem familiar to viewers - she has appeared in hundreds of projects over the years including Baking All the Way and A Tail of Love. She has also voiced characters on Esme & Roy and Hotel Transylvania: The Series.
Fun fact: Eastwood was an original member of Toronto's Second City Troupe which was the predecessor for SCTV. Other original members included Dan Aykroyd, Brian Doyle Murray and Gilda Radner. She was also in the original Toronto cast of Godspell, which also starred Victor Garber, Martin Short, Andrea Martin, Eugene Levy and Radner.
