TVLine Items: The Chi Adds 4 Including Kadeem Hardison, Additional Elsbeth Guest Stars and More

Four new guest stars will make their way to The Chi.

Kadeem Hardison (Teenage Bounty Hunters, A Different World), Leon (Swarm, The Temptations), Brett Gray (On My Block, I’m A Virgo) and Daniel J. Watts (The Last O.G.) are set to recur in the second half of Season 6, premiering Friday, May 10 on Showtime, Deadline reports.

Hardison will portray a literature professor named Gardner; Leon will play the alluring, street-savvy attorney Alonzo, who has old connections to Lynn Whitfield’s Alicia; Gray will take on the role of Damien, an intelligent young man who will impact Emmett’s (Jacob Latimore) life in several ways; and Watts will step in as the charismatic megachurch pastor Ezekiel.

According to the synopsis, “danger lies in wait” as “no one is safe, and everyone will be tested as never before over the course of the sixth season’s shocking last eight episodes.”

* Keegan-Michael Key and Gina Gershon will guest-star in the Good Wife spinoff Elsbeth, per The Wrap. In the freshman comedy, which debuted on Thursday, Key will play financial advisor Ashton Hayes, while Gershon will portray Dr. Vanessa Holmes, a vengeful plastic surgeon.

* Dar Salim (The Covenant, Deliver Us) has joined the prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf as Mohammed “Mo” Farooq, an Iraqi Special Operations Forces officer who James Reece (Chris Pratt) had personal experience with while serving in Iraq, according to Deadline.

* Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars has been renewed for Season 2 at Fox, TVLine has learned. Upcoming episodes will see a new group of food and beverage professionals put through a “multitude of challenges designed to showcase their skills” as Ramsay “searches for the next great culinary entrepreneur,” per the official description.

* Four more have joined Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer for Season 3, including Merrin Dungey (Shining Vale) as public defender-turned-judge Regina Turner; newcomer Allyn Moriyon as Eddie Rojas, a fitness buff in need of a good lawyer; John Pirruccello (Barry, Twin Peaks) as the seemingly non-threatening prosecutor William Forsythe; and Philip Anthony-Rodriguez (The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Days of Our Lives) as the Chief Deputy District Attorney Adam Suarez, according to Deadline.

* Max has released a trailer for the docuseries Justice, USA, which offers a harrowing look into Nashville’s criminal justice system and is set to premiere on Thursday, March 14:
