TVLine Items: Casey Wilson Hosts Baking Show, Bright Young Women Series and More

Casey Wilson is joining the festivities at The Great American Baking Show.

The Happy Endings vet will co-host this year’s celebrity holiday special, alongside returning host Zach Cherry (Severance).

Premiering Friday, Nov. 10 on The Roku Channel, the program finds six celebrity bakers competing to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith and to take home the coveted cake stand and Star Baker crown.

Ellie Kemper (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) previously hosted Season 6 of the U.S. iteration and last year’s holiday special, which featured celebrity bakers D’Arcy Carden, Chloe Fineman, Nat Faxon, Joel Kim Booster, Marshawn Lynch and Liza Koshy.

* Jessica Knoll’s thriller novel Bright Young Women is being developed into a potential TV series, with the author set to write and executive-produce the adaptation, our sister site Deadline reports. Inspired by real-life events, the book centers around the women whose lives were impacted by Ted Bundy’s cross-country killing sprees. A network is not yet attached.

* The 2024 CMT Music Awards will air live Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 8 pm ET (and tape-delayed PT) on CBS, from Austin, Texas’ Moody Center.

* The docuseries Kennedy, about President John F. Kennedy, will premiere Saturday, Nov. 18 at 8 pm on The History Channel, with three back-to-back episodes. The following three installments will air Sunday, Nov. 19 and the final two on Monday, Nov. 20 at 8 pm. The program is narrated by Peter Coyote and features interviews with JFK’s niece Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, long-time member of the JFK Library Foundation’s Board of Directors Conan O’Brien, actor Bruce Greenwood (who portrayed Kennedy in film) and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Eileen McNamara, among many others.
