Tuscarawas County GOP seeks replacement for New Philadelphia Auditor Beth Gundy

NEW PHILADELPHIA ‒ The Tuscarawas County Republican Party is accepting applications to replace New Philadelphia Auditor Beth Gundy, who will be retiring on June 3.

Gundy has been auditor since 1996.

According to the job summary, "The auditor serves as the chief financial officer of the City of New Philadelphia’s municipal corporation. She/he must govern by the authority given to the elected office by the Ohio Revised Code and the City of New Philadelphia’s Codified Ordinances.

"The auditor is the city officer/principal responsible for proper management of all revenues and expenditures of the City of New Philadelphia. The auditor serves as the primary fiduciary within the city government."

Applicants must be a resident of New Philadelphia, a registered Republican, have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field and a minimum of five years of auditing experience, preferably in government or municipal setting.

The job pays $96,931 per year.
