Three TVs
Summer's nice and all, but let's face it: Life's too short to spend it globetrotting, frolicking on the beach or hiking in the woods. Get smart — get a new TV! (Photos: Amazon, Walmart) (Photos: Amazon, Walmart)

We're going to go ahead and employ that hoariest of old adages: When one door closes, another one opens. It's an apt reminder this time of year, as Labor Day weekend presages the end of summer and the start of crisp, clear air, lovely foliage and pumpkin...everything. But more to our point: Fall marks the beginning of home-entertainment season, the time when Hollywood releases its best, most prestigious movies; the TV networks unveil their schedules and your fave series return; and the one time of year when baseball, football, hockey and basketball are in action simultaneously. It's pretty sweet.

Not coincidentally, this holiday weekend is a primo time to get that new TV you so badly need and so richly deserve. There are sales at a number of retailers on sets of all sizes and from all your fave brands. So many that, frankly, it's head-spinning. But we've waded through the hundreds of killer sales out there to curate our greatest hits below.

One sale you can't miss? Amazon just slashed up to 30% off a ton of Samsung TVs and projectors — so grab those while they're still in stock.
