Tuloso-Midway ISD names new primary campus principal

Tuloso-Midway ISD has named David Crabtree as the next principal of Tuloso-Midway Primary School.

Crabtree, who is currently an assistant principal at Corpus Christi ISD's Los Encinos Elementary School, will replace current Tuloso-Midway Primary School Laura Davila, who is resigning at the end of the 2023-24 school year.

"After a thorough selection process, I am excited to welcome Mr. Crabtree to the T-MISD team," Superintendent Steve VanMatre said in a Monday news release. "I am confident that Mr. Crabtree will bring innovative ideas and a strong commitment to the success of our students at the T-M Primary campus."

Crabtree has served in campus leadership roles in CCISD for the past 14 years, overseeing both large and small campuses, according to the release.

Crabtree has a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He has Texas principal and EC-4 generalist certiications.

He will officially take on the position July 8.
