BASEBALL

Hortonville 4, Appleton East 3

HORTONVILLE - The Polar Bears scored three runs in their half of the seventh inning to rally from a 3-1 deficit and defeat the Patriots.

Kameron Chronis had two hits, including a home run, and scored two runs. Griffin Jens had two hits, including a double, and Rashaud Kastner had two RBI.

Kael Konrad pitched the final three innings and got the win, allowing one run on two hits.

Taiven Gass started and went four innings for Hortonville.

Jacob Bines-Sabrowsky had two hits and drove in two runs for Appleton East.

Cade Prestigiacomo went 6⅔ innings for Appleton East and was charged with the loss.

Kimberly 6, Fond du Lac 5

KIMBERLY - The Papermakers built a 6-2 lead after four innings, but had to hold off the Cardinals the rest of the way as Fond du Lac scored once each in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.

Brady Coons homered, had two hits and drove in three runs, while Sawyer Deering was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI, and Hudson Wagner had two hits, including a double, for Kimberly.

Deering pitched four innings to earn the win, allowing four hits, two runs (one earned) while walking one and striking out six.

Conner Klapperich, Jack Brenner, Gavin Hall and Alex Demos had two hits each for the Cardinals.

Appleton North 5, Oshkosh North 3

OSHKOSH - Brandon Schopf was 3-for-4 and drove in three runs for the Lightning in the win over the Spartans.

Appleton North finished with seven hits, while Oshkosh North had four.

Kaukauna 8, Oshkosh West 2

OSHKOSH - Jacob Fritz pitched five innings, allowed two runs and struck out five to get the win on the mound for the Ghosts.

Kyle Ebben pitched the final two innings and struck out two to close out the victory.

Kyle Kress, Owen Jenkins, Tyler Jezeski and Aiden Boylan each had a hit for Kaukauna. Jenkins scored two runs.

Menasha 2, Xavier 1

MENASHA - Ian Dohms allowed only one hit and struck out seven in the complete-game victory for the Bluejays over the Hawks.

Fox Valley Lutheran 5, Wrightstown 0

APPLETON - Jack Schlueter was 2-for-3 with two RBI as the Foxes scored three times in the first and two in the second to earn the North Eastern Conference win.

Malachi Kramer also drove in a pair of runs for FVL.

Trevor Vande Hey was 2-for-4 to lead the Tigers.

Alex Tornio picked up the win, pitching four innings, allowing four hits, four walks and striking out eight.

Chilton 10, Two Rivers 2

TWO RIVERS - The Tigers scored eight runs in the first inning in a five-inning victory over the Purple Raiders.

Peyton Juckem pitched a complete game for Chilton. He allowed one hit, one earned run and struck out 10 while walking five.

Slaytt Nolan had two hits and two RBI for Chilton. Ryan Pierquet had a double and drove in two runs. Hunter Rolbiecki and Juckem each scored two runs.

Chilton improves to 5-1 overall with the win.

GIRLS SOCCER

Kimberly 7, Hortonville 0

HORTONVILLE - Emily McCarthy and Senah Hanes scored two goals each for the Papermakers in the victory over the Polar Bears.

Sonja Mau, Brenna Wilson and Marie Van Zeeland also scored for Kimberly.

Van Zeeland added two assists. Wilson, Skyler Brey, Abby Lom, Casdyn Thomas and McCarthy also had assists.

Kimberly improves to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Fox Valley Association.

Appleton North 2, Neenah 1

APPLETON - Claire Zulewski and Brinley Dunsirn scored goals to lead the Lightning past the Rockets in Fox Valley Association action.

Zulewski’s goal was assisted by Natalie Roe, while Maya Zulewski assisted Dunsirn.

Appleton West 1, Kaukauna 0

APPLETON - Addyson Edwards scored a goal with an assist from Addyson Knoebel to lead the Terrors past the Ghosts in a Fox Valley Association game.

Appleton East 4, Oshkosh North 0

OSHKOSH - Addison Wreath scored three goals for the Patriots in the Fox Valley Association win over the Spartans.

Marley Wreath added a goal and an assist for Appleton East. Anabelle Mahnke and Lydia Kubiak also had assists.

Natalie Nielsen was in goal for the shutout for East.
