BASEBALL

Kimberly 3, Kaukauna 0

KIMBERLY - Sawyer Deering pitched a complete game, allowing three hits while striking out nine to lead the Papermakers to the win over the Ghosts.

Kimberly took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and added a run in the fifth.

Bryson Vieth had a double for Kimberly, which had only three hits.

Bron Schaefer took the loss for Kaukauna, giving up three runs on three hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out nine.

Appleton North 5, Appleton West 1

APPLETON - Logan Hudson pitched a complete game for the Lightning, allowing two hits and striking out two in the win over the Terrors.

Levi Watts had two hits and Bennett Popp had a triple for North, which had six hits.

Neenah 8, Appleton East 4

NEENAH - The Rockets got four hits from both Andrew Carlson and Trevor Stichman in the win over the Patriots.

Ethan Van Dyke had two hits and two RBI for Neenah with Isaac Verbruggen adding two hits, including a double.

Gus Weinholzer pitched 3⅔ innings of scoreless ball for Neenah, striking out seven batters.

Little Chute 3, Wrightstown 0

WRIGHTSTOWN - The Mustangs struck for three runs in the top of the eighth inning to outlast the Tigers in North Eastern Conference action.

Charlie Vanden Burgt picked up the win, pitching all eight innings and allowing four hits and one walk while striking out nine.

Vanden Burgt, Grant Van Gompel and Rowen Schmidt all drove in runs for Little Chute, while Noah Faccio was 2-for-3.

Caleb Podgorski started for Wrightstown, pitching seven innings and allowing just three hits and one walk while striking out five.

Denmark 10, Freedom 3

DENMARK - Grant Schroeder gave up two runs on four hits over six innings to lead the Vikings to the win over the Irish.

Leading 1-0, Denmark broke open the game with a five-run fifth inning. Garrett Taicher and Cade Delarwelle had run-scoring doubles in the inning.

Matt Eberhardt and Drew Kortz had two hits for Freedom.

Drew Shepard took the loss, striking out eight over four innings.

Denmark improved to 7-3 overall and 6-2 in conference play. Freedom is 7-6 overall and 3-5 in conference play.

Kiel 8, Chilton 2

CHILTON - The Raiders took a 4-0 lead with four runs in the third inning and went on to beat the Tigers.

Cade Voelker pitched 6⅔ innings to get the win for Kiel. He allowed 10 hits, two runs and struck out five.

Benjamin Kienbaum drove in three runs and Colton Schaefer had two RBI for Kiel. Jackson Neese had three hits, including two doubles.

Chilton was led by Slaytt Nolan, who was 4-for-4 with a double. Hudson Ludwig added two hits and Ryan Pierquet hit a double.

SOFTBALL

Kimberly 1, Oshkosh North 0

KIMBERLY - Nevaeh Honick hit a solo home run in the Papermakers’ win over the Spartans.

Honick’s hit was one of only three Kimberly was able to get against Oshkosh North pitcher Brooke Peters.

Fond du Lac 15, Appleton West 0

FOND DU LAC - McKenna Thome pitched a three-inning no-hitter with two walks and six strikeouts in the Cardinals’ win over the Terrors.

Susan Vokes had a double and four runs batted in for Fond du Lac. Mel Meyers had a triple and two RBI. Reghan Ziegler also had two RBI.

West De Pere 4, Menasha 3

MENASHA - The Phantoms scored four runs in the fifth inning and then held on to defeat the Bluejays.

Kailey Fink, Mallory DeMoulin and Emily Venden each had two hits for West De Pere.

Addie Lund had two hits and Taylor Papendorf hit a home run for Menasha. Kelsie Mohr and Teagen Massey-Plamann each had a double.

Lily Bukoske pitched a complete game to get the win for West De Pere. Gabrielle Farr took the loss for Menasha.

Reedsville 6, St. Mary Catholic 4

FOX CROSSING - The Panthers scored three runs in the fourth inning to break a 3-3 tie and went on to beat the Zephyrs.

Kaydence Larson had the big hit for Reedsville with a three-run triple in the fourth.

Nevaeh Saringer had an RBI double and Jaylyn Akey had an RBI single for the Zephyrs. Saringer finished with two hits. Sammie Weiss scored two runs.

SMC had four runners thrown out on the bases in the game.

Kayla Bubolz pitched six innings to get the win for Reedsville. Rhiannon Reichenbacher pitched 3⅓ innings and got the loss for the Zephyrs.

SMC is 2-2 in the Big East and 5-4 overall.

GIRLS SOCCER

Kimberly 1, Appleton North 0

KIMBERLY - Emily McCarthy scored in the first half for the Papermakers in the Fox Valley Association win over the Lightning.

Senah Hanes had the pass to McCarthy to set up the goal after receiving a pass from Brenna Wilson.

The Papermakers are 3-0 in the FVA and 7-1 overall. North falls to 2-1 in the FVA and 3-2 overall.

Appleton East 5, Oshkosh West 2

APPLETON - Addison Wreath scored three goals for the Patriots in the Fox Valley Association win over the Wildcats.

Lydia Kubiak and Marley Wreath also scored for East, which is 3-0 in the FVA and 7-0-1 overall.

Emma Bullock had three assists, Maiya Wheaton had one assist and Addison Wreath also had an assist.

Oshkosh West got goals from Ellianna Noe and Morgan Toman.

Winneconne 9, Berlin 0

BERLIN - The Wolves scored six goals in the first half and cruised to the win.

Ava Pahl scored three goals for Winneconne. Harper Neace, Parker Rathert, Callee Fink, Suri Hottmann, Alyssa Koval and Brooklyn Messerschmidt each had one goal.

Hottmann had two assists for the Wolves.
