Tuesday's high school results: Coventry, Revere boys basketball win OHSAA sectional games

BOYS BASKETBALL HIGHLIGHTS

REVERE 70, BUCKEYE 49 Senior Conner Groce scored a career-high 27 points Tuesday night to lead the host Minutemen (15-8) to a win over the Bucks (7-16) in a Division II, Northeast 2 sectional semifinal. Groce made six 3-point shots. Revere senior Greg Cochran scored 11 points and Carson Banks contributed eight points.

COVENTRY 58, CLOVERLEAF 53 Senior Jaden Keenan scored 17 points and freshman Alex Meinen added 11 points to guide the host Comets (14-9) to a victory over the Colts (13-10) in a Division II, Northeast 2 sectional semifinal. Coventry senior Ryan Dinan and junior Justus Stephens contributed nine points apiece. Cloverleaf senior Logan Forbes scored 22 points.

WOODRIDGE 41, SALEM 36 Senior Evan Duve scored 17 points and sophomore Branden Evans contributed 11 points to propel the host Bulldogs (10-13) over the Quakers (7-16) in a Division II, Northeast 2 sectional semifinal.

KEYSTONE 67, MANCHESTER 51 The Wildcats (13-10) topped the host Panthers (10-12) in a Division III, Northeast 1 sectional semifinal that was also the final basketball game in Manchester’s gymnasium that opened in 1961.

MOGADORE 87, LAKE RIDGE ACAD. 42 Russ Swartz won his 500^th game as a coach and the host Wildcats (20-3) topped the Royals (4-19) in a Division IV, Northeast 3 sectional semifinal. Five Mogadore players — all seniors — scored in double figures: Lucas Butler (22 points), Layne Miller (16), Corey Lehner (13), Tanner Buso (12) and Devin Graham (11). Mogadore junior Nicholas Stephenson added nine points.
