Tuesday Canton-area high school scores: Malvern's Dennis Tucci earns 600th career win

BOYS BASKETBALL

MALVERN 75, MAYSVILLE 64 J'Allen Barrino scored 25 points and the undefeated Hornets earned a quality road win, giving head coach Dennis Tucci his 600th career victory. Tucci is 506-220 as Malvern’s head coach. Rodney Smith scored 13 points and Drake Hutchison and Mitch Minor added 11 each for Malvern (9-0), which shot 54.5 percent from the floor. Alex Bobb hit five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 30 points for Maysville (5-3). Jordyn Watson scored 14 points and Gator Nichols added 13 for the Panthers (5-3).

NORTHWEST 65, NORTON 57 Chase Badger scored 16 points, Tristan Pennington 15 and Ian Ziegler 14 as Northwest won on the road. Luke Dobbins led Norton with 22 points. Northwest (7-2) is tied atop the PAC-7 with CVCA at 5-0. The Indians host Canton South on Friday before traveling to CVCA on Tuesday of next week.
