TSSAA playoffs top performers: Vote for the Columbia area girls athlete of the week

The final week of the TSSAA softball playoffs is upon us and it's time to vote for The Daily Herald's Columbia area girls athlete of the week for May 13-17, the final athlete of the week poll for the 2023-24 school year.

Here are the candidates:

Ava Shrader, Richland: Shrader pitched a complete game, striking out 12 batters while giving up five hits and three earned runs in a 3-2 loss to Huntland in the Class 1A regional semifinal. She was also 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Katelyn Bass, Richland: Bass went 1-for-3 with a double, run and RBI in a Class 1A regional semifinal loss.

McKenzie Runnels, Summertown: Runnels was 1-for-3 with a two-RBI home run in a 3-2 win over Forrest in the Class 2A regional semifinal.

Ashlyn Easley, Summit: Easley went 2-for-2 with a double and a run in a Class 4A regional semifinal loss.

Samantha Malcolm, Summit: Malcolm was 1-for-2 with a three-RBI home run in a 15-5 loss to Lincoln County in a Class 4A regional semifinal.
