Trying ‘Dry January’? These Bellingham restaurants have fun options for you

Are you staying sober during “Dry January,” but your friends still want to go out? The Bellingham Herald has put together a list of bars, breweries and restaurants with special nonalcoholic drinks in Bellingham for you to enjoy.

Instead of just asking your bartender for a virgin drink, try these fun nonalcoholic drinks and mocktail menus:

Boundary Bay Brewing Co.

As Boundary Bay Brewing Co. is known for its beer, it also serves nonalcoholic beers from Athletic Brewing that have 0.5% alcohol by volume in 12-ounce cans. Boundary Bay Brewing Co. is open from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and is at 1107 Railroad Ave.

The Blue Abode Bar

The Blue Abode Bar in Barkley Village has a menu of mocktails, featuring virgin mojitos, bloody marys, ginger beer and more. The bar is open from 4-11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and is at 2925 Newmarket St.

JUXT Taphouse

JUXT Taphouse has rotating mocktail options, as well as nonalcoholic beer from Athletic Brewing and Hoplark. JUXT Taphouse is open from noon to 11 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, from noon to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, and is at 119 W Holly St.

Lorikeet Bar

The Lorikeet Bar has a full menu of tropical-themed cocktails but also has fruity zero-proof mocktails for those who do not want alcohol. The bar is open from 4-10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and from 4-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and is at 215 W. Holly St.

Stemma Brewing Co.

Stemma Brewing Co. has a full list of nonalcoholic drinks to enjoy such as nonalcoholic beer, kombucha, ginger beer and seltzer. Stemma Brewing Co. is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and is at 2039 Moore St.

Aslan Brewing Co.

Aslan Brewing Co.’s Brewpub has nonalcoholic beer and house-made sparkling hop water. The brewpub is open from noon to 10 p.m. daily, and is at 1330 N. Forest St.
