Someone needs to offer up more than a "Sorry Not Sorry."

On Wednesday, Dec. 20, Demi Lovato's ex-fiancé Max Ehrich faced heat online after it was alleged that he offered up a strong reaction to the chart topper's new engagement to partner Jordan "Jutes" Lutes.

For those who missed it, a new Instagram account named maxmusicehrich shared photos from Lovato and Ehrich's past engagement and wrote a seemingly heartfelt plea to the singer: "I don’t regret anything I did, I did everything for love, but unfortunately I was prevented from talking to Demetria."

The note continued, "She will be unhappy for the rest of her life, and it’s your fault. Anyway love you forever @ddlovato 🕊️💕."

The account then shared additional throwback pics of Lovato and Ehrich together, with another caption stating, "I know we will meet again in another life."

Despite the account only having around 100 followers at the time of writing, many believed the recent posts to be real, with Lovato fans begging the Southern Gospel actor to leave Lovato.

One heated fan declared, "GET A JOB STAY AWAY FROM HER." Another chimed in, "GOSH LEAVE THEM ALONE AND LET THEM BE HAPPY!"

However, a source close to Ehrich told Parade that "these are not messages he authored," emphasizing that the actor had nothing to do with the alleged statements circulating online.

Not to mention, Ehrich already has an Instagram page, which is also verified and boasts over 1.5 million followers.

You know what they say...don't believe everything you read online!

Ehrich later released his own statement on X (formerly Twitter), noting, "I am aware of the fake pages that were created to post fabricated and cruel messages about a truly joyful occasion in Demi’s life, a moment that should only be celebrated."

He made it clear that he only wished Lovato well, adding, "That chapter of our shared lives was closed peacefully and privately a long time ago. I only want the best for everyone and from the bottom of my heart I truly wish them a lifetime of peace and happiness."

"I ask respectfully to be removed from this narrative," he concluded, "and for the fake accounts and posts to cease having any relevance."

Lovato and Ehrich got engaged in July 2020 after a whirlwind romance amid the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, by September of that same year, the couple sparked break-up rumors, eventually parting ways for good.

Now, the Disney Channel alum is engaged again, having announced the news on social media on Sunday, Dec. 17. Lovato wrote alongside a photo from the engagement, "My love, I’m beyond excited to marry you.. every day I’ve spent with you has been a dream come true and I can’t wait to love and cherish you forever. Here’s to the rest of our lives. I love you baby."
