Truck overturns, shutting Highway 168 east of Clovis. Closure expected several hours

A big rig truck rolled over on Highway 168 east of Clovis on Wednesday, shutting down the roadway in the foothills, the California Highway Patrol said.

The truck rolled multiple times about 11:30 a.m. while headed north just north of Sample Road, officer Mike Salas said.

One person was transported with minor injuries, he said.

Despite initial reports from callers, the truck did not leak any fuel or natural gas, he said.

The road was expected to be closed for multiple hours.

The access down the highway from Shaver Lake and the China Peak ski resort could be affected, CHP said.
