Trout are Idaho’s most popular catch. Come learn how to land one in March 30 class

Jordan Rodriguez

Idahoans love their fishing, and of all the species anglers pursue in Gem State waters, trout are the most popular. Thanks to abundant stocking and healthy populations of wild fish in Idaho’s rivers, lakes and streams, we anglers have virtually unlimited opportunities to catch trout throughout the year.

My next fishing class, Trout of This World, is designed to give anglers the tools and knowledge they need to catch more and bigger trout year-round in Idaho waters. Trout of This World is being offered Thursday, March 30, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Idaho Rod & Reel in Nampa.

From trophy rainbows and giant browns to beautiful cutthroats and monster Mackinaws, we’ll do a deep dive on lures, baits, techniques and strategies that will help students enjoy their best season of trout fishing yet.
