The triple Jambo: 3 different BBQ restaurants with the same name in Fort Worth area

Jambo’s BBQ Shack Pantego moves

Hey, Bud! There’s a new Jambo’s barbecue on Bowen Road. Is that the same Jambo’s as before?

—Ronnie, Arlington

Three completely unrelated restaurants use the name Jambo’s. The Strein family’s original “real” Jambo’s is at 5460 E. Farm Road 1187, west of Mansfield. Paul Lovato owns a larger spinoff in the former Arlington Steak House, 1724 W. Division St.

Ashton and Josh Finkenbinder have reopened their old Pantego restaurant, now at 1110-A S. Bowen Road in Arlington.

Italian, French for Valentine’s Day

Hey, Bud! What looks good for Valentine’s Day?

—Rob, Fort Worth

Reservations seem open at most restaurants, except prime steakhouses such as Capital Grille. Try one of the top Italian places (Caterina’s, il Modo, Piattello, Piccolo Mondo, Tre Mogli) or a French restaurant.

Truck Yard Alliance has food trucks

Hey, Bud! We went to Truck Yard. But they didn’t have food?

—Alliance diner

Truck Yard, a new bar at 3101 Prairie Vista Drive, hosts a rotating selection of food trucks, such as Chicago Taste & More or Mama B’s Chili. It’ll add its own cheesesteak and nachos truck soon.
