Trio of Orioles pace Big 8 All Conference Competitive Cheer

The Big 8 conference recently announced its all-conference honors for the winter sports season, with honorees from both boys' and girls' basketball, wrestling, and competitive cheer being announced.

The Big 8 conference was vastly different at the top of each conference sport, with four different champions hoisting the trophy this winter.

In the sport of competitive cheer, it was Quincy running away with the championship after taking first place in every jamboree this season, including jamborees at Quincy, Maple Valley, Bronson, and Reading. Quincy had little trouble throughout the year and proved without a doubt they are the best competitive cheer team in the conference.

Maple Valley finished in second place in the overall standings, followed by Reading in third, Concord in fourth, Springport in fifth, Bronson in sixth place and Union City in seventh place.
