I tried the new chicken wings at Taco Bell. Here’s my review.

I’m a sucker for Taco Bell. It’s one of my favorite fast food places.

It’s got just about anything you’d ever need — tacos, Baja blast and warm nacho cheese.

So, when I found out chicken wings were added to the menu for a limited time, I had to try them.

Apparently, these chicken wings made their debut last January, but I must have been out of the loop or perhaps my local Taco Bell didn’t have them available.

But this year, I am definitely in the loop and let me tell you, these chicken wings didn’t disappoint.

Of course, you may be thinking what I thought at first: Why get chicken wings at Taco Bell?

Well, why not?

The chicken wings come in a box of five with spicy ranch dip for $7.49. Prices may vary, depending on your Taco Bell location.

Now, this is a bit of a hefty price for 5 wings, especially since Taco Bell is typically one of the cheaper fast food options.

When I got home, I opened the box and what I saw looked very crispy and delicious. The wings were a decent size, too so I understood the price a little more.

But like any good review, it all comes down to taste.

The chicken wings were covered in a Mexican queso seasoning and the tasty spices stood out with every bite. The wings were also packed with chicken in each crunch.

And I mean to emphasize crunch. These babies are super fried. Not the type of wing to lose its crisp on the drive home, which I was worried about.

After I ate a couple wings without any sauce, I decided to dip the next wing.

Although I wasn’t impressed with the taste of the sauce, it was still a good bite. It’s “spicy ranch,” but it didn’t have a kick and the ranch fell flat for me.

Before I devoured all five wings, I broke off a piece to let my two-year old daughter have a munch. She loved the flavor!

She even asked to hold a wing for a photo.

All in all, I would rate the Taco Bell chicken wings at 3.5/5 tortillas (or stars).

Are you ready to try them? Get them before they go away on Feb. 9.
