Robert ‘Bob’ Johnson Almond

Robert “Bob” Johnson Almond, 83, of Kennewick, died Jan. 31 in Kennewick.

He was born in Malad, Idaho, and lived in Kennewick for six weeks.

He served in the National Guard and was a retired author and educator.

Helen R. Iverson

Helen Ruth Iverson, 94, of Kennewick, died Jan. 31 at Life Care Center of Richland.

She was born in Bend, Ore., and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1960.

She was a homemaker.

Donald Wayne Eide, 75, of Kennewick, died Jan. 24 in Richland.

He was born in Enumclaw, Wash., and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1988.

Bernard Mastel, 100, of Richland, died Jan. 26 in Richland.

He was born in Ipswich, S.D., and lived in the Tri-Cities for 75 years.

He was a retired chemist at the Hanford site.

Myron Leroy Powell, 75, of Kennewick, died Jan. 26 in Kennewick.

He was born in Payson, Utah, and lived in Kennewick for 37 years.

He was a retired dentist.

Janice Lane, 88, of Kennewick, died Jan. 31 in Kennewick.

She was born in Kellogg, Idaho, and lived in the Tri-Cities for five years and was a longtime Spokane resident.

She was a retired clerk.

Ernest John Asselin, 79, of Richland, died Jan. 27 in Richland.

He was born in Boise, Idaho, and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1965.

He was a retired maintenance worker at the Hanford site.

He was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, and lived in the Tri-Cities area for nine years.

He was a retired tree planter for Milton-Freewater Nursery.

Douglas Leon Chambers, 79, of Pasco, died Jan. 31 in Kennewick.

He was born in Blansette, Ark., and lived in the Tri-Cities for 62 years.

He was a retired captain for the Pasco Police Department, where he worked for 33 years.
