Treat mom to high tea, brunch, or special dinners for Mother's Day 2024
Mother's Day is Sunday, May 12, and we shouldn't have to point out how deserving she is. But we will.
Moms usually know where kids and husbands left their favorite things, remember the mother-in-law's birthday, and know everyone's schedule by memory.
So let's cut to the chase. What are you doing for mothers this year? For starters, you should keep her out of the kitchen.

When is Mother's Day?
In the U.S., Mother's Day falls on the second Sunday of May. This year, Mother's Day is May 12.
Hotel Paso del Norte will have a high tea for moms
The Hotel Paso Del Norte will have a Mom and Me High Tea from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at 1700 Steakhouse.
Moms will enjoy sipping from elegant cups and savoring treats. Space is limited, so reserve your tickets. Tickets are $40, with gratuity included, and are available at Eventbrite.com. All ages are welcome.

Trattoria Bella Sera restaurant to offer Mother's Day special
Trattoria Bella Sera restaurant, 3512 N. Yarbrough Drive, will offer a four-course special for $26 for Mother's Day. The special will be from Monday, May 6, through Sunday, May 12.
The menu will include a choice of soup or salad, shrimp scampi pappardelle pasta, and an eggless custard for dessert.
Ambar Restaurante has Mother's Day brunch
Celebrate with a delicious brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 12 at Ambar Restaurante, 106 W. Mills Ave.
The brunch will offer a variety of staples, including a breakfast station, a lunch station, a cold station, a carving station, and a dessert bar. There will also be live music.
Cost: $65 per person plus tax for adults and $32.50 plus tax for children ages 4-12. Information: www.ambarelpaso.com
Ardovino's Restaurant offers Mother's day brunch
Ardovino's Desert Crossing in Sunland Park, New Mexico, will have a Mother's Day brunch Sunday, May 12. Seating times at 9:45 a.m. until 3 p.m. Patio seating available.
Reservations are required and must be made by phone at 575-589-0653, Ext. 6. The cost is $67 for adults, $29 for children 5 to 11 years old, and free for children under five.
Price does not include tax, gratuity, or beverages. Credit card information is required for all reservations. If you are a no-call no-show, Ardovino's Desert Crossing reserves the right to charge a fee for the card on file.

Wendell's Steak and Seafood at the Inn of the Mountain Gods
The upscale Wendell's Steak and Seafood restaurant inside the Inn of the Mountain Gods is a nice way to treat mom on her special day. The restaurant has many windows facing the golf course and scenic landscape.
For Mother's Day, the restaurant will offer a Mother's Day Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 12. Reservations are strongly recommended. The brunch will include a carving station, an omelet station, a main fare station, a garden-inspired station and plenty of desserts.
Cost is $95 for adults, $85 for seniors and $35 for children, 12 and under.

Anson 11 to offer Mother's Day brunch
Anson 11, 303 North Oregon St., Ste 1., will have a Mother's Day brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 12. The brunch will include an omelet station, menudo, tortilla soup, stuffed filets, pork loin, roast chicken, plus desserts.

Billy Crews Restaurant to offer special Mother's Day menu
Billy Crews Restaurant, 1200 Country Club Road in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, will have a special Mother's Day menu from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 12.
The menu will feature Chilean Sea Bass with lemon butter sauce, rice and asparagus for $33, and a New York steak with peppercorn cream sauce and baked potato for $32.

Deadbeach Brewery to have Mother's Day brunch
Deadbeach Brewery, 3200 Durazno Ave., will host a Mother's Day brunch with live music from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 12. Moms will receive a complimentary orange juice beer-mosa or mimosa, a rose and three chocolate-covered strawberries.
The menu will include a trip to the omelet station, chilaquiles, bacon, ham steak, potato hash, fresh house biscuits, chorizo gravy and Aztec soup.
Cost is $40 plus fees for adults and $15 plus for kids, in advance at Eventbrite.com, $50, plus tax, at the door.
Spend Mother's Day in the Vineyards
Get ready to whisk moms away, meeting at noon Sunday, May 12, at the Shoppes at Solana, 750 Sunland Park Drive. From there, they will be shuttled to New Mexico's oldest vineyard, La Vina, where they will try three wines of their choice paired with a little nosh from Fig & Brie in Las Cruces.
From there, the group will go to Zin Valle Vineyards on the edge of Texas for a wine tasting and a full glass of their favorite wine before relaxing amongst the vines with live music. As things wind down, they'll return to the starting point at 5 p.m. to get moms home on time for Sunday dinner.
Ticket, $85 plus fees, includes wine tastings at two wineries and a charcuterie cup for one, bottled water, light snacks, transportation, and tour guide. Get tickets at Eventbrite.com.
Additional wine and food is available for purchase. Open alcohol is not allowed in the shuttle vehicle however you may bring sealed or recorked bottles home with you.
