Trailer for Daisy Ridley's new film Sometimes I Think About Dying
A first trailer for Daisy Ridley's romantic dramedy Sometimes I Think About Dying has been released.
Premiered at Sundance Film Festival earlier in the year, the film from director Rachel Lambert features the Star Wars star as socially awkward office worker Fran. As the title suggests, Fran's rich inner world provides her with some escapism from her lacklustre, safe existence in the form of extensive daydreams about her own death.
Things take a turn when Fran meets new coworker and recently divorced Robert (Dave Merheje), who forces her out of her comfort zone to get to know her better.

Ridley, who also serves as producer, and Merheje are joined by Parvesh Cheena, Marcia DeBonis, Meg Stalter, Brittany O'Grady, Bree Elrod, Lauren Beveridge, Ayanna Berkshire, Sean Tarjyoto, Jeb Berrier, Rich Hinz and June Eisler.
The film is an adaptation of the short of the same name directed and co-written by Stefanie Abel Horowitz which, in turn, was based on a play called Killers by Kevin Armento. Both Horowitz and Armento worked on the film's screenplay with Katy Wright-Mead, who also co-penned the short.
Sometimes I Think About Dying is set to be distributed in both the US and the UK, with a release date coming soon.

In other Daisy Ridley news, the actress has just been announced as the lead in survival thriller We Bury the Dead.
Written and directed by 1922's Zak Hilditch, the film sees Ridley as Ava, a woman who desperately hopes to find her husband alive after he goes missing during a military experiment.
Ava then joins a body retrieval unit during her search, but makes a sinister discovery when the bodies she's burying start showing signs of life.
