Track regional qualifiers; softball district champs: High school notebook

Olivia Cherry, Kennedy Slates, Olivia May and Effie Schulte established a meet record to win the 4x400 relay at 4 minutes, 00.73 seconds as Oak Harbor's girls finished second at a Division II district meet.

Cherry, Hayley Fallgren, Slates and Laney Schmidt won the 4x800 at 9:51.45, Camdyn Fauver won the 100 hurdles at 16.09 and was fourth in the 300 hurdles at 49.35 and Slates was second in the 800 at 2:25.29.

Bella Lake was second in the pole vault at 10, Cherry was third in the 400 at 57.21 and Alayna Hall was third in the shot put at 35-07.75 and fifth in the discus at 103-07. Molly Downs, Miyanna Gardner, Schulte and May were fourth in the 4x100 at 49.95 and Ava Grieger was fourth in the high jump at 5.

Morgan Wiechman won the 1,600 at 5:25.10 and second in the 3,200 at 11:50.10 as Port Clinton was third. Michaela Stork won the discus at 126-10.

Port Clinton's Camille Robbins, Jade Mitchell, Shianne Lieske and Alexis Shelton were second in the 4x100 at 49.21, Robbins, Mitchell, Lieske and Shelton were second in the 4x200 at 1:43.93 and Shelton was fourth in the 100 at 12.58. Maddie Wiechman was fourth in the 1,600 at 5:35.05, Bella Cuevas was fourth in the 100 hurdles at 16.73 and long jump at 15-07, and Mitchell was fifth in the 100.

Clyde's Bree Caudill, Gabby Griffin, Daisha Bulger and Cora Liskai won the 4x100 at 49.11, Marissa Gessner was second in the 1,600 at 5:29.02 and fourth in the 3,200 at 12:18.02, and Caudill was third in the 100 at 12.47 and 200 at 26.03.

Emma Leber was third in the pole vault at 10, Liskai was fourth in the 400 at 1:00.07 and Laney Renfro, Brooklyn Root, Kayla Tischler and Gessner were fifth in the 4x800. Leber was fifth in the high jump and Braylee Laughlin was fifth in the pole vault.

Genoa's Lillian Frias won the high jump at 5-06, Lindsey Brown was second in the 300 hurdles at 47.32, and Stella Rethman was third in the 1,600 at 5:33.72 and 3,200 at 12:11.18. Frias, Tatum Szych, Kyra Frasure and Brown were third in the 4x400 at 4:11.18, and Szych, Brown, Mya Rethman and Stella Rethman were fourth in the 4x800 at 10:23.04.

Boys at Oak Harbor

Tyler Thompson won the 100 at 10.90 and 200 at 21.98, Bodee Miller won the 800 at 1:58.74, and Wyatt Augsburger won the 110 hurdles at 14.88 and 300 hurdles at 40.14 as Oak Harbor was first. Carson Ridener, Miller, Blake Nickel and Augsburger won the 4x200 at 3:25.76 and Evan Hall won the shot put at 53-03.75.

Dan Allen, Ridener, Nickel and Thompson were second in the 4x200 at 1:30.25, Gavin Witt, Braxtin Witt, Turner Hayes and Miller were second in the 4x800 at 8:18.64 and Braden Schultz tied for second in the high jump at 6-03. Ayden Gaskalla tied for second in the pole vault at 12-06, Allen was third in the 110 hurdles at 15.23 and fourth in the 300 hurdles at 40.66, and Ridener was fourth in the 400 at 50.07.

Gavin Witt was fifth in the 3,200 and Travis Bouyer was fifth in the discus.

Clyde's Damarius Chrisman won the 400 at 49.15, Zane Townsley was second in the 400 at 49.56 and Eli Pumphrey, Hayden Rex, Chrisman and Townsley won the 4x800 at 8:11.87. Lance Laughlin tied for second in the pole vault at 12-06, Chrisman was third in the 200 at 22.27 and Aaron Clapp was fourth in the 3,200 at 10:32.93.

Pumphrey was fifth in the 800, and Pumphrey, Hayden Rex, Townsley and Chrisman were fifth in the 4x400.

Genoa's Caleb Gittus won the discus at 145-07, Aidan Antry was fourth in the 100 at 11.23 and RJ Adkins, Matthew Lopez, Adam Knight and Antry were fourth in the 4x100 at 44.64. Adkins, Lopez, Knight and Antry were fourth in the 4x200 at 1:33.19 and Logan Routson was fifth in the pole vault.

Port Clinton's Samari Smith was second in the shot put at 52-01.75 and third in the discus at 142-08. Charlie Simpson was fourth in the 1,600 at 4:40.64 and Briar Rohrer was fifth in the 100.

Division III at Gibsonburg

Azure Travis won the 100 hurdles at 14.52, 300 hurdles at 44.48, 100 at 12.34 and 200 at 25.86 as Woodmore's girls were second. Emma Hammer won the 800 at 2:19.69, Lilian Runion was second in the long jump at 16-02.75 and Caydie Buchanan, Hammer, Willow Lewis and Addison Pleasnick were second in the 4x800 at 10:21.62.

Hammer was third in the 1,600 at 5:36.67, Lewis tied for third in the 800 at 2:27.24 and Stella Strong was fourth in the discus at 102-09. Madi Hammer, Runion, Abby Schmeltz and Ariana Florio were third in the 4x100 at 52.19, Addison Overmyer was fourth in the pole vault at 10 and Emma Hammer, Madi Hammer, Florio and Lewis were fourth in the 4x400 at 4:10.45.

Ava Dickman won the shot put at 34-09.75 and was third in the discus at 114-04, Julie Berg won the long jump at 16-04.50 and Alayna Biehl, Berg, Olivia Saylor and Macyn Phillips won the 4x200 at 1:43.87 as Margaretta finished first. Saylor won the 400 at 57.77 and tied for third in the 800 at 2:27.24, Berg, Phillips, Lillian Belak and Saylor won the 4.400 at 4:03.37 and Phillips was third in the 200 at 26.19.

Biehl, Berg, Dani Grunden and Phillips won the 4x100 at 50.28, Biehl was second in the pole vault at 11-04 and fifth in the 100 at 13.09, and Amyra Ruffing was second in the 3,200 at 12:43.71. Ruffing Ella Schadwil, Ines Bertol Gil and Grace Paseka were third in the 4x800 at 10:21.69, Belak was fourth in the 300 hurdles at 48.90 and Paseka was fifth in the 800.

St. Joseph Central Catholic's Maria Reinhart won the discus at 121-02 and Elizabeth Rellinger was third in the pole vault at 10-04.

Gibsonburg's McKenzie Montgomery won the pole vault at 11-04.00.

Emma Redett, Kelly Uhinck, Katelynne Bergman and Maria Maringer won the 4x800 at 9:58.67, Redett won the 1,600 at 5:28.98 and 3,200 at 11:39.06 and Bergman was second in the 400 at 58.77 as Danbury was third. Maringer was second in the 800 at 2:23.18, Lauren Bergman, Maringer, Uhinck and Katelynne Bergman were second in the 4x400 at 4:05.70, and Zoe Uhinck, Kendall Shanteau, Maringer and Katelynne Bergman were third in the 4x200 at 1:47.10.

Mia McDonald was fourth in the high jump at 4-10. Uhinck, McDonald, Shanteau and Lauren Bergman were fourth in the 4x100 at 52.34. Maggie Thompson was third in the 300 hurdles at 48.69, second in the 100 hurdles at 16.08 and fifth in the high jump at 4-10.

Gibsonburg's Mary Myerholtz was second in the 1,600 at 5:35.95 and fourth in the 3,200 at 12:48.22. Sophia Paul, Alayna Molter, Macey Kohler and Myerholtz were fifth in the 4x800.

Old Fort's Trini Quaintance was second in the discus at 114-10, Kennedy Shaull was second in the high jump at 4-10 and Rylan Perry was third in the long jump at 15-06 and fifth in the 100 hurdles.

Lakota's Aubrey Vitte was second in the 100 at 12.68 and 200 at 26.18, and fifth in the pole vault at 10 and Jordyn Stuller was fourth in the 100 hurdles at 16.59.

Boys at Gibsonburg

Miles James, Tate Bailey, Gage Bodey and Kale Bailey won the 4x200 at 1:31.88, Tate Bailey, Kaine Smetzer, Bodey and James won the 4x100 at 44.03, and Caiden Fultz won the 3,200 at 10:16.22 as Margaretta was first. Cooper Tigges was second in the 200 at 22.36, Bodey was third at 22.61 and James, Lucan White, Bodey and Carter Luzader won the 4x400 at 3:31.06.

Tate Bailey was second in the long jump at 20-04.25, Tigges was third in the 100 at 11.44 and Jake Bouy was fourth in the high jump at 6. Fultz, Cole Morris, Carson Miller and White were fourth in the 4x800 at 8:42.84, Landon Weyer was fifth in the shot put and Kale Bailey was fifth in the long jump.

Perry McGraw was fifth in the 110 hurdles, James was fifth in the 100 and Morris was fifth in the 1,600. White was fifth in the 400 and Colt Watson was fifth in the 300 hurdles.

Old Fort's Evan Combs won the pole vault at 15, Henry Beisner won the 300 hurdles at 42.24, was second in the 110 hurdles at 16.26 and third in the high jump at 6, and Daniel Steyer was fourth in the 1,600 at 4:50.20. Jake Beisner, Aiden Dick, Brayden Davis and Aidan Chapman were were fourth in the 4x400 at 3:37.23.

Dean Chase won the discus at 140-05, Kian Johns was second in the pole vault at 14-04 and Donovan Statham, Brady Tyson, Kurtis Fawcett and Avery Shilling were second in the 4x800 at 8:40.52 as Lakota was second. Statham was second in the 400 at 51.54, Shilling was second in the 800 at 2:04.41 and Braxton Quaintance was third in the pole vault at 14-04.

Micah Williams was third in the 110 hurdles at 17.15, Paul Williams, Blayse Beard, Statham and Micah Williams were third in the 4x200 at 1:34.39, and Micah Williams was third in the 300 hurdles at 43.41. Shilling, Tyson, Paul Williams and Statham were second in the 4x400 at 3:33.86, Alexander McGinnis was fifth in the high jump and Paul Williams, Micah Williams, Beard and Tyson were fifth in the 4x100.

Gibsonburg's Grant Dawson was second in the high jump at 6-01 and Cole Owens was fourth in the pole vault at 14-04.

Woodmore's Drake Blausey won the 800 at 2:03.33, Myles Byrd was third in the 800 at 2:04.54 and Landon Rich was fourth in the 100 at 11.44.

Danbury's Moritz Meske was fourth in the 400 at 53.36.

SJCC's Sam Paeth was fifth in the pole vault.

Division I at Findlay

Lyndi Wolf won the high jump at 5-03 and Reese Smith was second in the discus at 119-5 for Fremont Ross' girls. Braxtyn Jordan was fifth in the 200, Malise Lee-Garrett was fifth in the 400 and Evelyn Szymanowski was fifth in the 800.

Ross qualified a 4x200 in fourth at 1:50.51 and a 4x800 fourth at 10:14.19.

Easton Silva won the pole vault at 12-8 for the Little Giants' boys. Jadrian Brown was second in the 400 at 50.96 and Michael Patterson third at 51.96, Ricky Howard was second in the long jump at 21-4 and Kameron Walker was fifth in the 800.

Ross qualified a 4x200 second at 1:31.48, a 4x400 second at 3:29.31, a 4x800 second at 8:23.53 and a 4x100 fourth at 44.12. Anthony Vann was fifth in the high jump and Dominic Brown was fifth in the discus.

Division II at Ontario

Ella Rucker won the 100 hurdles at 14.90 and was second in the 300 hurdles at 47.69, Lilly Sosa won the pole vault at 10-8 and Amerie Wagner was second in the high jump at 5-1 and third in the 200 at 26.48 for Bellevue's girls. Bellevue advanced a 4x200 second at 1:45.36, a 4x100 third at 50.30 and Natalie Littlejohn was fourth in the long jump at 15-10.5.

Addison Rogers was fourth in the discus at 116-11 and Hallie McCarthy was fifth in the 400.

Wyatt Sumser won the high jump at 6-4 and was second in the long jump at 21.1.5 for Bellevue's boys. Logan Hartley was fourth in the high jump at 5-10, Jonah Kadow was fourth in the 300 hurdles at 40.54 and fifth in the 110 hurdles, and Caden Cramer was fifth in the discus.

A 4x400 was second at 3:2797, a 4x200 was was third at 1:33.08 and a 4x100 was fifth.

Softball

Oak Harbor beat Defiance Tinora 7-1 and Margaretta topped Galion 5-4 for district crowns in Division III. The Rockets play the Polar Bears in a regional semifinal.

Oak Harbor beat Liberty Center 7-3 and Margaretta topped Huron 9-0 in semifinals.

SJCC defeated Danbury 6-3 for a district championship in Division IV. The Crimson Streaks play Vienna Mathews in a semifinal.

SJCC beat Gibsonburg 2-1 and Danbury beat Woodmore 16-0 in five innings in semifinals.

Baseball

Oak Harbor shut out Lakota 1-0 for a sectional crown in Division III. The two-seed Rockets play top seed Edison at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shelby.

Margaretta beat Willard 7-1 for a sectional championship. The six-seed Polar Bears play three-seed Bucyrus Wynford at 5 p.m. Thursday at Shelby.

The Raiders beat Port Clinton 10-0 and Margaretta topped Woodmore 9-0 in semifinals.

Genoa fell 7-3 to Ottawa Hills in a sectional final, after beating Delta 6-3.

Gibsonburg beat Hopewell-Loudon 4-3 for a sectional crown in Division IV. The six-seed Golden Bears play seven-seed Cardinal Stritch at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Harbor.

Gibsonburg beat SJCC 8-1 and Danbury fell 3-2 to Cardinal Stritch in semifinals.

Old Fort fell 2-1 to Norwalk St. Paul in a sectional final.

Clyde fell 4-1 to Ontario in a sectional final in Division II, after beating Mansfield Madison 10-3.

Bellevue fell 3-2 to Tiffin Columbian in a sectional final, after topping Mansfield Senior 2-1.

Fremont Ross lost 10-0 to Toledo Whitmer in a sectional semifinal in Division I.
