Tori Spelling Details Multiple Hospitalizations for Fainting, Got Six Facial Stitches After Bad Fall

Tori Spelling is shedding some light on several recent health scares that have landed her in the hospital. The 50-year-old Beverly Hills, 90210 star opened up about being hospitalized three nights ago after a serious fainting episode that split her chin open.

"This is the second time in months that I've fainted. The first time I fainted was in August," Spelling shared on Tuesday's episode of her misSPELLING podcast.

After previously sharing on Instagram that she had been in the hospital, Spelling spoke for the first time about what led to the hospitalization.

"I most likely was dehydrated because I hate water. I don't drink water. It's a problem," she admitted. "I fell straight backwards, hit my head, knocked out. And that's how I remember just coming to and my daughter, Stella, was screaming."

Spelling said she was hospitalized for three days during the August 2023 stint and that a similar fainting episode happened three nights ago.

"This time I fell forward," she revealed. "I split my chin open. My poor daughter, Stella, she's just really nervous that I'm going to pass out again… her worst nightmare happened because she heard a thunk upstairs and it was me this time."

Spelling said she remained laying on the ground and told her 15-year-old daughter, "I think I broke my jaw. I need to go to the hospital."

She asked Stella to call someone to take her, but due to the late hour, Stella couldn't reach any of Spelling's friends or even her estranged husband, Dean McDermott.

"She was like, 'In emergencies, here we are alone. This is the second time this is happening,'" Spelling recalled of Stella's reaction.

She said her "blood pressure had dropped to 77, [she had] passed out, and split [her] chin open."

Stella was allowed into the ambulance with her mother, and was glad she went because she alleged that the ambulance driver tried to question Spelling about music producer Diddy, who is currently embroiled in a lot of legal drama.

"Ambulance driver said, 'Hey, I know who you are. You're that star. Hey, do you have an intel on P. Diddy?' And she goes, 'Mom, you were about to answer!'" Spelling claimed. "The funny thing is I don't have any intel. I don't know what I was about to say."

Spelling said that nothing was broken in her latest fall, though she thinks she has a concussion, noting, "It's still spinning."

The actress says she got six stitches and shared Stella's response to the emergency.

"She goes, '[Your chin] was open so far that when you tried to talk I could see right through it,'" Spelling said.

Spelling, who said she never drinks water and prefers Diet Dr. Pepper and Ginger Ale, thinks she was "completely dehydrated," adding, "I think, perhaps, me not drinking water, subconsciously is a form of self sabotage."

Spelling is currently in the middle of a divorce from McDermott, who is the father of her five children. In addition to Stella, the former couple also share Liam, 17, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, 7.

A source previously told ET, "Tori filing for divorce from Dean was not a surprise to either of them. They have both been getting their ducks in a row and a plan in place for the past couple of years."

"They wanted to make sure that they're both taken care of individually and also as co-parents," the source said. "It's not a volatile situation on either end and things are actually pretty cordial between them. Their co-parenting situation is fine and continuing to get better."
