Top varsity performances by Erie County athletes from April 22-27

Each week through District 10's spring sports season, the Erie Times-News will compile a list of notable performances from Erie County athletes. These lists will conclude upon the conclusion of the state track and field meet, held Memorial Day weekend at Shippensburg University.

This week's honorees are:

Baseball

Kadin Dombkowski, Fort LeBoeuf: The Bison beat Warren 6-2 with aid from his three hits.

Nick Hamilton, McDowell: He struck out nine Meadville batters over a 4 2/3 innings of the Trojans’ 12-2 win against the Bulldogs.

Aari Fox, Fairview: The Slippery Rock University recruit contributed pitched in relief for the Tigers, who blanked the Northwestern Wildcats 6-0.

Kellen Chelton, General McLane: His grand slam and six-RBI effort highlighted the Lancers’ 10-2 victory vs. the Corry Beavers.

Softball

Kendra Tobin, Fort LeBoeuf: She drove in four runs for the Bison when they beat the Seneca Bobcats 14-3.

Zoey Johnson, Northwestern: Her four-hit performance helped the Wildcats win 15-5 against North East.

Emalie Thomas, Cathedral Prep: She recorded the last of three consecutive run-scoring hits for the Ramblers, who rallied for a dramatic 3-2, eight-inning victory vs. Meadville.

Brooklyn Cipalla, Harbor Creek: The Huskies routed Girard 14-0 in part from her four hits.

Jocelyn Terella, Fairview: Her 4-for-4 performance at the plate included a double, home run and six RBIs, which accounted for half of the runs in the Tigers’ 12-2 victory at Union City.

Boys track and field

Lucas Myer, Union City: He tied the school record in the pole vault when he cleared an even 13 feet during the Bears’ 93-57, non-region dual victory vs. District 9 Sheffield.

Girls track and field

Ava Reagle, Union City: The star sprinter for the Bears won the 100-, 200- and 400-meter races during their 83-63, non-region dual victory against the Sheffield Wolverines.

Boys volleyball

R.J. Nagg, McDowell boys: He totaled 23 assists for the Trojans when they swept Mercyhurst Prep 25-12, 25-14, 25-17 at Paul Goll Gymnasium.

Caleb Daubenspeck, Fort LeBoeuf: The Bison traveled to New York state for a three-set sweep of Chautauqua County Christian that included his team-high 17 kills.
