Community Partners of South Florida announces CEO
Kelly Powell was recently introduced as the new CEO of Community Partners of South Florida. Powell has a strong background in the nonprofit sector, with a particular focus on child injury prevention. Community Partners is a comprehensive community development 501(c)3 non-profit agency headquartered in Riviera Beach that connects communities with equitable access to housing and financial literacy, child and family behavioral health, and community-based programs all designed to help families thrive.
Lewis, Longman & Walker adds to West Palm office
Sarah Kranz has joined the law firm of Lewis, Longman & Walker. Working out of the firm's West Palm Beach office, Kranz specializes in administrative, civil and appellate litigation, environmental and natural resources law, land-use and real estate law and Native American law. The firm has offices in Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, Tallahassee, Tampa and West Palm Beach.
Cancer Alliance of Help & Hope adds board member
Cancer Alliance of Help & Hope has announced that Paul R. Shalhoub has joined its board of directors. Shalhoub has recently been recognized as one of Florida's "Super Lawyers in Personal Injury," and has served as the mayor of Lake Clarke Shores and a member of the Town Council for three terms. He also serves as a substitute professor at Palm Beach State College, teaching paralegal courses.
Jones Foster attorney elected secretary of local Federal Bar chapter
Jones Foster, a private and commercial law firm based in West Palm Beach, is pleased to announce that litigation attorney Hanna B. Rubin has been elected secretary by the members of the Federal Bar Association Palm Beach County Chapter for the 2023-2024 term. Officers were sworn in by senior Judge Kenneth A. Marra.
The Ben West Palm appoints director of sales and marketing
The Ben West Palm, Autograph Collection, a premier destination for upscale accommodations, recently appointed Elena Peroulakis as director of sales and marketing. Peroulakis brings morethan 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having held various senior management roles at renowned hotels and resorts around the world. Most recently, she served as the director of sales and marketing at Wyndham Grand Jupiter at Harbourside Place. She will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue, client services, sales efforts, market positioning, and profitability.
Local dentist to lead Florida Association of Endodontists
Dr. Jeffrey S. Albert of Endodontic Associates of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach was recently appointed the president of the Florida Association of Endodontists. Endodontists are dentists with at least two additional years of advanced specialty education in the diagnosis and treatment of root canal problems. The position is a two-year term.
Hedrick Brothers appoints commercial operations chief
Hedrick Brothers Construction has promoted Arthur Miller to director of commercial operations. He will lead operations throughout the state, focusing on aerospace, multifamily, industrial, class A office and municipal market sectors.
Symphonia board member elevated to president
The Symphonia, a Boca Raton-based chamber orchestra, has announced that Sheldon Kwiat has been appointed as board president. Kwiat has been a supporter of The Symphonia for a number of years and has served on its board of directors for the past two years. Founded in 2004, The Symphonia provides high-quality classical music for the enjoyment and benefit of the South Florida community.
SSRGA bolsters Boca office with associate attorney
Schwartz Sladkus Reich Greenberg Atlas LLP has expanded the ranks of its South Florida office with the addition of Alex Glassman as an associate attorney. Glassman concentrates his practice on litigation, family law and health care. Schwartz Sladkus has offices in New York City and Boca Raton.
