Veteran employee named president of WPB engineering firm
Gregory F. Bolen, P.E., has been appointed president of Simmons & White Inc., a comprehensive civil and traffic engineering firm established in West Palm Beach in 1982. Over his past 26 years with the firm, Bolen has specialized in all aspects of land development and civil engineering projects for public and private sector clients, and holds professional engineering licenses in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. He is an alumnus of The Citadel.
Three named to Palms West Hospital board
School District of Palm Beach County school board member Marcia Andrews, Wellington Councilwoman Tanya Siskind, and entrepreneur and chief brand officer Joey Wölffer have been appointed to the HCA Florida Palms West Hospital board of trustees. As members of the board, these women will further the role and purpose of the hospital by providing oversight of the hospital and advice to the partnership and the board of managers.
PEBB Enterprises names two new VPs
PEBB Enterprises, the South Florida-based full-service private real estate investment company, has added Adam Starr as the vice president of leasing, senior director, and Florence Motavali as vice president, operations controller. Starr is responsible for marketing and leasing the company’s office portfolio. Motavali is responsible for the design and execution of controls and timelines regarding key PEBB operational processes, including construction and development, procurement, lease administration and internal and external financial reporting.
Unitarian congregation welcomes new minister
The First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Palm Beaches recently welcomed Rev. Latifah Griffin as their new minister. She is the 17th minister to serve the congregation since its founding in 1953. Her ministry comes with a number of historic firsts — she is the first openly queer woman and first woman of color to serve the congregation.
Segarra named CEO of Discover The Palm Beaches
Discover The Palm Beaches, the official tourism marketing organization for Palm Beach County, recently appointed Milton Segarra, a certified destination management executive, as president and CEO. This appointment follows the retirement of industry veteran Jorge Pesquera, who has led the organization for the past 16 years.
Kaufman Rossin adds tax advisory principal
Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent CPA and advisory firm in Florida., announced the addition of Marjorie Horwin, CPA, as a principal in the private client services group within the tax advisory services practice. She brings more than three decades of experience helping high-net-worth individuals and owners of closely held businesses protect family wealth.
Florida Peninsula manager joins Broward homeless provider's board
Boca Raton-based Florida Peninsula Insurance company has announced that marketing communications manager Martha Getsee has been appointed to the Broward Partnership board of directors. Founded in 1999, The Broward Partnership is a nonprofit organization and is the largest comprehensive homeless services provider in Broward County.
Hanley Foundation names four to board of directors
Hanley Foundation has added Whitney Douglass, Scott D. Hollingsworth, Erica Garwood, and Thomas J. Gallagher to their board of directors. Douglass is a former television executive with ABC News. Hollingsworth is CEO of Avespa, a pioneer biotech company that developed and patented technology to produce commercial scale microalgal biomass. Garwood is founder and CEO of the Mark Garwood Foundation, an organization launched by Erica and her husband John in memory of their son who died from complications of substance use disorder and diabetes. Gallagher enjoyed a 35-year highly successful career as an investment banking executive for JP Morgan Chase & Co., CIBC Oppenheimer & Co., and Wachovia Capital Markets.
