'Top Chef' host Kristen Kish raved about custard and gave her best Wiscahhnsin accent in this funny Instagram video

Custard and the Wiscahhnsin accent.

Those were the stars of a funny video "Top Chef" filmed with host Kristen Kish and shared to Instagram on Monday. The series is in the midst of its 21st season, which was filmed in the Dairy State.

In the social media video, Kish was given prompts to answer. If "custard" was applicable, that's what she went with.

Prompt: "Favorite place you visited in Wisconsin."

After scoffing at the question — how could she choose?! — Kish said "custard," laughing.

Prompt: "Favorite thing to do during your down time."

Kish: "Eat custard."

Prompt: "Favorite thing to eat."

If you guessed "custard" — again — you'd be right.

Milwaukee custard was "a new experience" for Kish, she told the Journal Sentinel partway through filming. At that point, she had visited Leon's multiple times and also dabbled with Kopp's.

"I’ve had great ice cream and custard growing up in Michigan, but this is something different," she said. "When I had my first lick of it, it just … didn’t move. It’s so incredibly thick. It’s delicious.”

'Top Chef' host Kristen Kish, who grew up in Michigan, gave her best Wisconsin accent

Best Wisconsin accent. Ready? Go!

Kish said the Wisconsin accent is not "too far off" from Michigan, where she grew up.

"It comes out every now and again, where it goes up into your nose and you say, 'Mahhm. Mahhhm. Mahm!'" she said. "Am I doing that right? I don't know."

Her first attempt at saying the state's name in a Wisconsin accent came out more like, "Wiscawnsin." But, she quickly adjusted to "Wiscahhnsin." Better.

She ended her efforts with an apology.

Something 'Top Chef' host Kristen Kish learned about Wisconsin

"Custard" could've been the response to this prompt, too, but Kish got deeper with it instead.

"Something you learned about Wisconsin."

"The fantastic thing about 'Top Chef' is that I get to experience so many different challenges, naturally," Kish said in the video. "And, by way of all the challenges, I'm learning a lot about Wisconsin history, the traditions, you know, why things have been the way they have been for so many years. The indigenous culture. So, I mean, a lot. Far more than I ever learned in school."
