Top 5 high school football games to watch in Week 11 around the Fort Worth area

Looking for a good high school football game to watch in Week 11, but don’t want to travel far.

We have the top games in the Fort Worth area right here:

Red Oak (8-1, 6-1) vs. Midlothian (9-0, 7-0)

7 p.m. Thursday, Midlothian ISD Stadium

The District 4-5A D1 championship and No. 1 playoff seed will come down on Thursday. Midlothian has already locked up at least a share, but can clinch it outright with a win, plus the top seed.

Red Oak wants a taste of the gold ball, plus the No. 1 seed.

The Midlothian Panthers are 9-0 for the first time since 1984 and enter with over 45 points per game in district play. The defense has only allowed 104 points in seven games.

Chag Ragle and De’ago Benson will lead the offense alongside Bryant Wesco, Jordon Richburg and Michael Garber. The Panthers average over 300 yards rushing per game as a team.

The Hawks have scored 25 more points than Midlothian in district games, however, they’ve given up 35 more. They’ve won at least eight games for the fourth time in five seasons.

Red Oak is looking for its first district title since 2019.

But the Panthers are rolling. Give me Midlo 35-28.

Midlothian Heritage (8-1, 6-0) at Everman (8-1, 6-0)

7 p.m. Thursday

Another district championship and No. 1 seed will be secured on Thursday with the Heritage Jaguars and Everman Bulldogs in District 5-5A D2. Both teams are state ranked and area ranked.

Everman has its most wins since 2015 when it won nine games.

The Bulldogs can also capture their first 7-0 district championship since 2010.

Both teams have nearly identical numbers with Heritage outscoring teams 264-105 while Everman sports a 238-117 margin. By the way, this is Heritage’s first year in Class 5A. Not bad.

Heritage will look to go to dual-threat South Dakota State commit Kaden Brown on offense and linebacker Solomon Hopkins (78 tackles, 4 INTs). Heritage has 10 picks and five fumble recoveries.

Everman will look to go to QB Jarion Basped and running back Errick Mills.

Kevin Allen and Kyron Kennedy highlight the defense.

Heritage edges Everman in a classic, 45-42.

Crowley (4-5, 4-2) vs. North Crowley (9-0, 6-0)

7 p.m. Thursday, Crowley ISD Stadium

The district mates meet for the third straight year after not playing in the previous four. The North Crowley Panthers have already locked up the district championship, a No. 1 seed and a home playoff game after taking down Chisholm Trail last week.

They enter No. 3 in the area rankings and No. 19 in the state rankings.

The Panthers are one of six area teams 9-0 and come in averaging 16 points on defense.

Look for 4-star Texas commit S’Maje Burrell and Anthony Toliver to wreak havoc on that side of the ball, while the offense is led by sophomore QB Chris Jimerson, backs Dejuan Lacy and Cornelius Warren, and Vandy commit Ka’Morreun Pimpton.

Crowley was set back following a Week 10 loss to Boswell, but still sit in good position to make the playoffs. The Eagles are led by QB Caleb Williams and running back Ashton Searl.

But this is North Crowley’s year, Panthers win 42-28.

Eastern Hills (6-3, 4-2) at Lake Worth (7-2, 5-1)

7 p.m. Thursday

The Eastern Hills Highlanders have won three games in a row, including 41-13 over Castleberry last week. The team has won six games for the first time in 22 seasons.

With their win streak, the Highlanders put themselves in position for the playoffs. Kenwaun Durst will highlight the offense.

Lake Worth, meanwhile, lost to Dunbar 14-10 to snap a six-game winning streak. But with a win, the Bullfrogs can clinch a share of the district title. Lake Worth will be the No. 1 playoff seed if Kennedale defeats Dunbar.

Damion Moore has been Lake Worth’s top player (1,585 total, 18 TDs).

I like the home team, give me Lake Worth 21-13.

Dunbar (5-4, 5-1) at Kennedale (6-3, 5-1)

7:30 p.m. Friday

It’s the battle of the Wildcats at Kennedale Stadium as the winner gets a district championship in 6-4A D1. Dunbar gets the No. 1 seed with a win. Kennedale gets it with a win and Lake Worth loss to Eastern Hills.

Dunbar picked up the biggest win from Week 10 with a 14-10 victory over Lake Worth and jumped into the area rankings. Kennedale shut out Western Hills on Saturday and continues to be in the Top 10.

Both are run heavy teams as Dunbar features one of the top backs in the area with Murry Moore (2,161 yards, 19 TDs). Kennedale’s Wing-T offense is led by Cameron Lyles (789 yards, 15 TDs).

Kennedale wins this one, 27-19.
