Pizza Hut is feeling hot, hot, hot.

The restaurant chain began rolling out the Spicy Lover’s Pizza for a limited time on Thursday.

The pie is layered with spicy marinara sauce, red jalapeño peppers, two types of pepperoni and a sprinkled topping made with sliced chili peppers and “fiery flakes.”

With prices starting at $12.99, three versions of Pizza Hut’s latest ideation are available: double pepperoni, chicken and pineapple, and a veggie version topped with green bell peppers, onions and mushrooms.

Chief brand officer Georgeanne Erickson said in Thursday’s announcement, “As consumer tastes continue getting more adventurous, the launch of Spicy Lover’s Pizza allows Pizza Hut to satisfy the growing craving for well-balanced, spicy flavor. No other national pizza [quick service restaurant] is offering spicy pizza in the space.”

Through the years, the Plano, Texas-headquartered company has tapped into their customers’ culinary passion points with their Meat Lover’s, Pepperoni Lover’s and Veggie Lover’s specialty recipes.
