Love Island's Tommy Fury had everything planned for his big proposal to Molly-Mae Hague — including flying out her favourite singer, RuthAnne.

The Irish artist was sworn to secrecy ahead of the big moment, which saw Tommy got down on one knee to ask Molly-Mae to be his wife as she held their baby daughter Bambi in her arms. The location picked for the occasion was a cliff overlooking the sea, with the cliff face dressed in white and pink roses.

After the proposal went public with a joint Instagram announcement from the pair on July 23, RuthAnne took to her own page to share some behind-the-scenes details.

"A 'pinch me' moment! Congratulations @tommyfury @mollymae on your engagement & I can't believe I got to be there to sing your song #thevow live for this most amazing proposal (good planning Tommy)," she wrote.

"Molly had no idea and I know how much this song means to them," she continued, calling the location "the most stunning" she's ever performed at.

"And for the most beautiful couple. I sang my heart out just for you today. So amazing to finally meet you in person and sing this song for you," she added.

"This is why I write music and, wow, what a moment."

The couple met on Love Island season five back in 2019, continuing their romance after leaving the villa. They moved in together after the show and welcomed their first child, daughter Bambi Fury, in January this year.

The happy couple confirmed their engagement over the weekend, with Molly-Mae sharing a short video on Instagram showing her running down some steps to her now husband-to-be and their daughter.

"Forever. 23/07/23," she captioned the clip, alongside a ring and crying face emoji.

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
