He’ll play Robbie, whom the official character description calls “a sanitation worker and dreamer who has been knocked around by life, but has always gotten back up again.”

HBO announced in June that it had ordered a new series from Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby. The project stars Mark Ruffalo (All the Light We Cannot See, I Know This Much Is True) and follows an FBI task force aiming to stop drug-house robberies “led by an unsuspecting family man,” per the official synopsis.

Ingelsby will write and executive-produce the new series. Other EPs include Ruffalo, Jeremiah Zagar (The Fix), Salli Richardson-Whitfield (The Gilded Age), and Mare of Easttown‘s Paul Lee and Mark Roybal. Zagar and Richardson-Whitfield also will direct.

Pelphrey currently stars in Outer Range. In addition to playing Ozark‘s Ben — a performance that nabbed him a 2022 Emmy nomination — his long lists of TV credits includes: Love & Death, Blindspot, Iron Fist, Banshee, Blue Bloods, As the World Turns and Guiding Light. He took home Daytime Emmys in 2006 and 2008 for playing Guiding Light‘s Jonathan. Pelphrey also is part of the cast of Netflix’s upcoming series adaptation of Tom Wolfe’s A Man in Full, from David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies).
