Tom Holland Shows Support for Girlfriend Zendaya’s Film“ Challengers”: 'I Know What I’m Doing This Weekend'

The sweet gesture comes after a source told PEOPLE about the couple's “equal” and “supportive” relationship

Tom Holland’s weekend plans? Watch girlfriend Zendaya on the big screen, of course!

The actress’ latest movieChallengers hit theaters on April 26, and Holland, 27, wasted no time before showing the film (and his girlfriend!) some love online.

On April 27, the Marvel star shared the movie’s poster — a close-up of Zendaya, 27, as tennis star Tashi Duncan with on-screen love interests Mike Faist and Josh O'Connor reflected in her sunglasses — on Instagram.

In the caption, he wrote, “I know what I’m doing this weekend!”

Holland also gave the steamy Luca Guadagnino-directed project a shoutout on his Instagram Stories, sharing a trailer and writing, “CHALLENGERS IS OUT NOW!”

“LETS GOOOO!” he added, tagging Zendaya in the post.

Holland’s sweet show of support for the film comes after a source told PEOPLE about the Spider-Man costars’ “equal” and “supportive” relationship.

"They are proud of each other’s successes and totally supportive. This is a plus in their relationship making it equal,” the insider told PEOPLE, noting that both actors are equally “caring toward the other.”

“It’s not a case where one is caring and the other isn’t so much,” added the insider. “They are great people and are there for the good and bad. As busy as they are, this is super important."

Earlier this week, a source also revealed to PEOPLE that the couple has discussed tying the knot in the future, noting “there has been talk of marriage, and that is a reality.”

"They are not the kind of stars who put their lives together out there on social media for the most part," explained the insider, adding that “both are private” and attention on them while in the public eye "has never been easy or comfortable for either of them.”

In interviews ahead of Challengers, Zendaya has given firsthand insight into the largely private couple’s relationship.

In her recent Vogue cover story, the Dune star opened up about watching Holland grapple with his growing fame since joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is also where the couple first met.

“We were both very, very young, but my career was already kind of going, and his changed overnight," the star told the magazine. "One day you’re a kid and you’re at the pub with your friends, and then the next day you’re Spider-Man. I definitely watched his life kind of change in front of him."

"But he handled it really beautifully," she added.

Challengers is in theaters now.
