Tom Holland responds to negative reviews of new show The Crowded Room
Spider-Man actor Tom Holland has responded to negative reviews for his new Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room.
The actor recently confirmed he was taking a break from acting after the emotional strain and toll his latest role had on him.
Holland was keen to highlight that his decision to take an acting hiatus was following The Crowded Room filming, and not due to the show's bad critical reception in an interview on Live With Kelly and Mark.

"It's so funny. Obviously, The Crowded Room came out [and] we didn't have very favourable reviews," Holland said.
"So the press story was that I have taken this year off because of the reviews. But I'm eight months into my year off. I've been chilling at home in London, going to Grand Prixes, playing golf…"
Holland went on to thank fans for their support with his new show, in wake of a brutal Rotten Tomatoes score from critics.
"I would like to say a massive thank you to my fans, and the people that have seen the show because we're at 94% on Rotten Tomatoes," he said. "I feel so grateful that I have a wonderful community of people that support me and are there for me, so I'm honoured and really excited for the rest of the show to come out."

The Marvel star plays Danny Sullivan in The Crowded Room, who is arrested over his involvement in a New York City shooting in 1979. Holland's character is intensely interrogated throughout the series, with viewers learning more about his past and the events that took place on the day of the crime.
The 10-part series also stars The Dropout's Amanda Seyfried and Shameless US star Emmy Rossum.
The first three episodes of The Crowded Room are now available on the streaming platform, with further episodes dropping weekly every Friday up until July 28.
The Crowded Room is available to watch on Apple TV+.
