This Tom Hanks Movie Just Hit Netflix’s Top 10 List and It's a Must-Watch (Seriously)

There’s no denying that Netflix's original content tends to dominate the most-watched lists on the streaming platform. However, every once in a while, an old film will manage to sneak its way into the top ten. This week, one of those films is Tom Hanks’s '90s classic, Saving Private Ryan.

The Steven Spielberg flick, which currently sits at the number eight spot on the platform, is a re-creation of World War II’s D-day invasion. The film follows a group of Army Rangers on a journey to locate a lost soldier whose three brothers have been killed in battle.

The film’s official synopsis reads: “Captain John Miller (Hanks) takes his men behind enemy lines to find Private James Ryan, whose three brothers have been killed in combat. Surrounded by the brutal realities of war, while searching for Ryan, each man embarks upon a personal journey and discovers their own strength to triumph over an uncertain future with honor, decency and courage.”

In addition to Hanks, the film also stars Edward Burns (She’s the One), Barry Pepper (The Green Mile), Adam Goldberg (A Beautiful Mind), Max Martini (Pacific Rim), Tom Sizemore (Black Hawk Down), Matt Damon (The Martian), Jeremy Davies, Vin Diesel (The Fast and the Furious), Paul Giamatti (Billions) and Dylan Bruno (Taken 3).

Better hurry, the last day to watch this flick on Netflix is April 29th.
