We’re just weeks away from the 2022 NFL Draft and ESPN NFL Draft insider Todd McShay has unveiled his new mock draft.

Right off the bat McShay stirred up some controversy, picking Aidan Hutchinson to go to the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 1 over Kayvon Thibodeaux. In an even bigger shock, he has the Detroit Lions taking Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton No. 2 overall.

Then go a pair of offense tackles with Ikem Ekwonu and Evan Neal going to the Houston Texans and New York Jets respectively. The Giants get defensive end Travon Walker, the Panthers take tackle Charles Cross, the Giants go again and take wide receiver Garrett Wilson, and then the Atlanta Falcons take wide receiver Drake London.

Rounding out the top 10 are the Seattle Seahawks taking Kayvon Thibodeaux No. 9 thanks to that Denver Broncos trade. The New York Jets take cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner at 10th.

As with any mock draft, there are going to be strong objections from the fanbases that don’t like their team’s mock pick. But there don’t seem to be too many of those early on:

There’s always something that absolutely nobody sees coming on draft day though. Whether it’s an extreme reach, a blockbuster trade or an inexplicable fall, someone is going to make a mistake.

But a lot of fans will be very happy on April 28 if this is how the draft shapes up.

Did your favorite team get the player(s) you want?
