Todd and Julie Chrisley's Son Gives Update on Their 'Terrible Situation'

Todd and Julie Chrisley are having a rough time in prison, with the couple having just hit 200 days behind bars, according to their son Chase Chrisley

While discussing the family's recently announced new reality series, the 27-year-old told Extra's Rachel Lindsay, "It’s over 200 now, which is really tough for them because my mom and dad are obsessed with each other.”

He added, "They’re hanging in there. It’s a terrible situation," before claiming that the two are in tough conditions in prison, unlike what some articles are saying. Chase noted, "It is not the truth and we’re going to be spreading a lot of awareness to that as well.”

As for what the public is getting wrong about the Chrisleys' current conditions, Chase told Extra, “Everyone has this perception that my parents are in this country club prison and that’s just not the case at all. My mom’s sitting up there with no air, and my dad’s facility has no air.”

He also alleged that the prisons the Chrisleys are in—with Todd in Florida's Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola and Julie at FMC Lexington in Kentucky—have black mold, lead-based paint, and roofs that are caving in.

Chase stated that the upcoming, yet-to-be-named reality TV series will likely show visits to Todd and Julie in prison: “There definitely will be times we'll be on phone calls and going to visit and stuff like that."

Earlier this month, Chase's sister, Savannah Chrisley, shared that her parents haven't spoken to one another in the 200 days that they've been in prison.

After their conviction for bank fraud and tax evasion last summer, Todd and Julie were sentenced in November 2022, with Todd getting a 12-year sentence, while Julie received 7 years.
