Today's Wordle Answer for #809 on Wednesday, September 6, 2023

Today's Wordle answer on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, is GNASH.

Wow, wow, wow. This one was so tricky (for me, at least). My first three guesses were, as always, TEARS, MOUND and FLICK—because each of the three words have different consonants and vowels and that usually helps me solve the Wordle pretty quickly.

But today, it took quite a while before I was able to get the right answer.

I knew after my third guess that "A" was in the right place, and that "S" and "N" were somewhere in the word. But with the leftover letters, I couldn't figure out how to solve the word. So, my fourth guess was SNAGS, knowing the last "S" wasn't correct, but wanting to get at least one more letter option in there ("G"), and to see if either the first "S" or the "N" were in the correct placement.

After I saw that "N" was in the right spot, but not, "S," and that "G" was in the word, but in the wrong spot, I was able to correctly guess GNASH on the fifth try. Gnash, AKA to grind one's teeth, AKA what I was doing while working on solving this Wordle.

How'd you do?
