'Today' Show Fans Are Beyond Excited Over Hoda Kotb's Big Announcement

Today show's Savannah Guthrie's latest Instagram proves that when it comes to her co-anchor Hoda Kotb, she supports her friend on camera and off.

The former White House correspondent shared some extra love for Hoda and celebrated her achievement of making the second Forbes "50 Over 50" list. The list, which features female entrepreneurs, investors, creators and entertainers, celebrates 50 women over the age of 50 who not only found success later in life but are "breaking barriers" and helping bring success to the next generation.

Savannah posted an Instagram clip to send praise to her friend. "I'm beyond proud of Hoda — Forbes' 50 over 50 list! She inspires me every day," she captioned it.

"Hoda is amazing!! Thank you for recognizing her 👏," commented one fan. "Love this so much! Hoda is the best and you’re always such a supportive queen 💗💗," wrote another. One fan even said, " It’s a testament to the love and respect you both have for each other. Two kind and beautiful women walking side by side each enjoying life! 💫 Congrats Hoda 🎉💕."

In an accompanying article for Forbes, Savannah said, "She represents to me what a modern woman is. She is strong. She is beautiful. She is kind. She is authentic. Savannah continued: "She is devoted to her family. She maintains and cultivates her friendships. And she is an incredible professional and a wonderful journalist.”

And if the heartfelt post in Hoda's honor wasn't enough, it turns out that Savannah was the one who nominated her. The news was revealed earlier this week when the two had MSNBC's Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski on Today as a guest to celebrate the unveiling of the list, which Mika actually helped produce in partnership with her Know Your Value Initiative.

"So Savannah, amazingly, nominates Hoda, showing that women now support each other and we're so much stronger because of it," Mika said. "Everything has changed. You can have anything you want at any time in your life and you're really the embodiment of that. It's not just professional success. You can find happiness anytime you want."

In addition to Hoda, the full list includes other inspiring women like Angela Bassett, Tory Burch, Pat McGrath, Billie Jean King, Ketanji Brown-Jackson and Bobbi Brown, to name a few.
