Fans of Today With Hoda & Jenna might be a little confused when they tune in this week, as the two hosts, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, will be broadcasting from sunny Bermuda in celebration of the show's 5th anniversary.

The show first announced the news a couple of weeks ago, with Kotb telling the audience, "We are so excited. We've got a Bermuda Bash, and we're going to soak in the sun, we're going to enjoy the nightlife, we're going to go shopping, we're going to be eating, all the things."

"We have been waiting for this trip, we have been waiting and waiting and it is finally here," Bush Hager added. The two also shared a look at their stunning accommodations at The Loren at Pink Beach.

On Wednesday, May 8, fans might've wondered why Kotb was missing from the First Hour of Today, but Savannah Guthrie explained that she was "on assignment," hinting at the Bermuda trip. The two Today With Hoda & Jenna episodes set to take place in Bermuda will air on May 9 and May 10.

While the two have taken their talk show on trips in the past, the Bermuda trip is a little more special since they are celebrating the show's 5th anniversary. In early April, they also headed to New Orleans as part of the anniversary fun.

Bush Hager commented on what the journey with Kotb over the past five years has meant to her, saying, "It feels like it was yesterday, and it feels so profound to get to sit next to somebody that exudes joy."

Kotb also touched on how much their experience together has changed her life, telling her co-anchor, "We're here, we're an us, which is big." She recalled starting the show as "colleagues slash friends," but explained how their relationship has grown exponentially since then: "Over the five years, there have been… there's such a deep understanding of the other's soul and purpose."

The special Today With Hoda & Jenna episodes will finish off this week's shows, with the two hosts expected to return to their normal NYC studio next week.
