Hoda Kotb is seemingly a fan of one of the most iconic romantic movies, and she just voiced her opinion of it in a way even she didn't see coming.

While sitting alongside Craig Melvin and Savannah Guthrie on the May 16 taping of the Today show, Hoda found herself immersed in watching a clip from the 2004 film The Notebook. As the snippet featuring Allie and Noah passionately kissing in the rain played on the screen, the TV host couldn't help but swoon over what she was watching.

"Get in there," she quietly uttered in a clip posted on Instagram, with the microphone picking up the surprise comment.

Upon hearing the unexpected quip from Hoda, Craig and Savannah began to laugh in earnest, prompting them to ask Hoda if she did in fact, utter the relatable sentence.

"Did you say 'Get in there?'" Craig asked an embarrassed Hoda, with Savannah grabbing Hoda's hand while she attempted to hide the blush on her face.

"Hoda just said 'Get in there!'" Savannah confirmed with glee. "This is like Mystery Science Theater with Hoda watching rom-coms! 'Get in there!'"

Upon seeing this relatable moment occur on the air, it didn't take long for Today fans to voice how much they understood Hoda's unforeseen outburst.

"Same Hoda, same 😂❤️," one person wrote in the comments. "Ditto! One of my favorite movies ever ❤️," another fan agreed. "Me too Hoda me too 😍," a different follower added.

Hoda's uninhibited reaction to The Notebook didn't come out of nowhere. The hit movie did have some context within the rest of the episode, when the cast of the Broadway musical (based on the movie and the Nicholas Sparks novel) came to sing a medley of the songs "Dance With Me" and "Carry You Home," as part of the Today show's Best of Broadway Week.

The musical has made a splash ever since it opened in March on the Great White Way, and it received three nominations for the upcoming 2024 Tony Awards on June 16.

Needless to say, we relate to Hoda's feelings on The Notebook on so many levels.
