'Today' Fans Are Losing It Over Al Roker's Viral Reaction to "National Lazy Day"

Al Roker is always prepared to give Today show viewers the latest weather reports. But every once in a while, he needs a break.
During an August 10 segment of the morning show, Al, Craig Melvin, Savannah Guthrie and Sheinelle Jones celebrated National Lazy Day. To mark the occasion, the quartet went outside to 30 Rockefeller Plaza and lounged on chairs sponsored by La-Z-Boy. When it came time for Al to do his daily segment on the weather forecast, he looked extremely comfortable with his fedora covering his eyes and slouching on the recliner. This led Craig to try and entice him to do his job.
"Mr. Roker," Craig began as Al continued relaxing. "Wake up for the forecast, buddy."
Much to everyone's surprise, Al didn't move from the comfortable position he sat in. Instead, he insisted that one of his co-anchors take over and do his job for him.
"Just put up the map," he replied while keeping his fedora over his face. "You know what, people? Just read it."

Craig eventually volunteered as tribute and proceeded to read the maps predicting the national weather forecast for the weekend. But as he continued, Craig got worked up thinking each map looked too similar to the other. As a result, Al decided he would diffuse the situation with a reaction no one saw coming.
"You know, you're putting too much energy into this," he told Craig as Savannah and Sheinelle cracked up. "Chill out, bro. That's what's going on around the country."
Since Al has no qualms about sharing his thoughts on national television, his hilarious reaction had everyone in hysterics after the clip went viral on TikTok.
"Al been at this for damn near 30 years, let the man rest 😂," one person wrote in the comments. "Never thought I’d hear 'chill out bro' from Al Roker 😂😂," another cracked up. "This is the most I’ve ever paid attention to a weather report 😂 — perfection," a different follower chimed in.
Maybe it's time for us to take a nap with Al...
