'Today' Correspondent's Pregnancy Announcement Leaves Co-Hosts Completely Stunned

Molly Hunter and Al Roker

There's never a dull moment on the Today show!

Co-hosts Dylan Dreyer, Sheinelle Jones and Al Roker were in for quite a surprise during the third hour of Today on Tuesday, April 23, when they learned that a valued member of their team is currently nine months pregnant—and they had no idea.

The TV personalities were chatting with foreign correspondent Molly Hunter from Buckingham Palace on Tuesday when co-host Craig Melvin brought up the fact that Hunter has a baby on the way.

Dreyer, Melvin, Jones and Roker were talking with Hunter during her broadcast from England about the sixth birthday of beloved royal Prince Louis on Tuesday, when Melvin, 44, said, "I'll tell you who else is going to be beloved—that little baby of yours."

The co-hosts back in New York immediately showered Hunter with congratulations, while Jones, 46, was visible stunned to hear the news.

"I didn't know you were pregnant," Dreyer, 42, exclaimed, while Jones chimed in, "We had no idea!"

The hosts were even more shocked to learn that Hunter is already nine months along, and expecting her little baby girl sometime in May.

"Wow!" Roker, 69, cried out, as Jones—still in disbelief—asked, "Are you joking?"

Dreyer then asked Hunter to take a step back from the camera to show off her belly, claiming, "I don't believe it."

The cameras on Hunter then zoomed out a little bit, while she showed off her baby bump, prompting the Today co-hosts to declare, "It's true!"

Hunter's little one on the way marks her first child with husband Will, whom she wed in April 2023 in a gorgeous ceremony in London.
