The Tennessee Titans are continuing to add talent in the 2024 NFL Draft with their fourth-round selection.

The Titans picked North Carolina linebacker Cedric Gray with the No. 106 pick in the fourth round of the NFL draft Saturday. Gray joins a draft class that includes first-round pick JC Latham, an offensive tackle out of Alabama, and second-round pick T'Vondre Sweat, a defensive tackle out of Texas.

The Titans have had a busy offseason, adding wide receiver Calvin Ridley, cornerbacks L’Jarius Sneed and Chidobe Awuzie, running back Tony Pollard and center Lloyd Cushenberry III, among others, to reinvent a team that is moving on after the end of the Mike Vrabel, Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill era.

Cedric Gray scouting report

Gray is a 6-foot-1, 234-pound linebacker who logged 121 tackles with 11 tackles for loss, five sacks and four pass breakups in 2023. He was a two-time, first-team All-ACC selection, including his junior season, when he ranked third in the FBS with 145 tackles.

Gray impressed athletically with a 4.64-second 40-yard dash and a 10-foot broad jump. He used that athleticism to consistently get pressure against the quarterback, with a sack, hit or hurry in all but one game last season.

He split time evenly between both outside linebacker spots and true inside linebacker while also taking some reps as a slot corner. He handled himself well in coverage, especially in his sophomore season, while handling different roles.

Gray joins a linebacker room that includes free agent signee Kenneth Murray II and retained young players Otis Reese and Jack Gibbens.
