The Royals’ annual “Girls Night Out” event will be an afternoon affair this year.

With rain expected on Saturday in Kansas City, the Royals announced they are moving the start of their game against the Detroit Tigers at Kauffman Stadium. Instead of first pitch at 6:10 p.m., the game will begin at 3:10 p.m.

Fans with a ticket to the game can simply choose to arrive at the earlier time if they choose. But people who want to exchange their tickets for another game during the 2022 season must do so before first pitch on Saturday. The same is true for anyone with a parking pass to the game.

Fans with a ticket to the “Girls Night Out” event will be allowed to enter Kauffman Stadium (at Gates A and E) at 12:30 p.m. For all other fans, the gates will open at 1:30 p.m.

More information on the ticket policies for Saturday’s game can be found on the team’s website page dedicated to game changes, and here a few important notes.

  • Tickets must be exchanged by the account holder on record.

  • Single game tickets can be exchanged online on the Royals website. Fans should log in using their MLB.com email address.

  • Royals Fountain Pass tickets can’t be exchanged. They are valid just for the rescheduled game.
