It’s time for pumpkin pie! We compared pie ingredient prices at Bellingham stores for you

Your favorite Thanksgiving dessert may cost a bit more this year as grocery prices remain high.

Prices at grocery stores have risen throughout 2022, with food prices 8.2% higher in September 2022 compared to September 2021, and rising 0.2% between August and September this year, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

But as Thanksgiving comes around the corner, The Bellingham Herald has compared pumpkin pie ingredient prices online and in-store at local Bellingham stores to find the cheapest way you can make pumpkin pie for the holiday.

For those planning to bake Libby’s Famous Pumpkin Pie with ingredients such as pumpkin, pie crust, cinnamon and eggs, here are some prices we found at Bellingham grocery stores as of Thursday, Nov. 17:
