Before Tiger Woods suffered a serious leg injury in February, the 15-time major champion filmed his first episode of A Round with Tiger: Celebrity Playing Lessons for Golf Digest. That episode officially aired earlier this week.

In his conversation with Jada Pinkett Smith, Woods revealed what it’s like to watch his 12-year-old son Charlie follow in his footsteps.

Even though Tiger enjoys seeing Charlie on the golf course, he wants to make sure that he doesn’t affect how his son views the sport.

“I just don’t want him to hate the game,” Woods told Pinkett Smith. “I don’t want him to fall into that trap. I get emotional about it. Some of my best memories are being out there with my dad.”

Woods also admit that he doesn’t train Charlie in golf. It turns out that Charlie just watches what his father does and tries to copy him.

“He just watched me do it and just kind of does it,” Woods said.

Charlie showcased his skills at the PNC Championship last year. Golf fans couldn’t believe just how talented the youngster is at this stage in his career.

During the PNC Championship, Tiger told reporters that Charlie is just starting to understand how to play golf.

“He’s asking me the right questions. I’ve kept it competitive with his par, so it’s been just an absolute blast to go out there and just be with him.”

The future is bright for Charlie Woods, that’s for sure.
